Serving in Africa is a unique opportunity to follow God’s call while experiencing a culture and landscape unlike anywhere else in the world.

Whether you’re coming to serve, learn, or simply step into something new, these trips are designed to be meaningful, impactful, and unforgettable.

We offer two different trip opportunities to fit your interests and calling.

Mission Trips

We invite short-term teams (7–10 days) to come serve in Zambia alongside our national partners.

Each trip is thoughtfully designed to match the gifts, strengths, and experience of your group. You’ll serve alongside Charis in Action leaders and local Zambian pastors, supporting ongoing ministries and projects already making an impact.

All ministry opportunities are connected to a local church, ensuring that the work continues long after your team returns home.

Opportunities may include:

  • University outreach

  • Village churches

  • Church planting

  • Children’s ministry

  • Leadership training

  • Evangelism and discipleship

From start to finish, we walk with you every step of the way. We provide pre-trip training, on-the-ground discipleship, and post-trip debrief to help you fully prepare for—and process—all that God will do in and through you.

Vision Trips

Vision Trips are designed for small groups (4–7 people) who want to experience the ministry up close and explore ways to be part of its ongoing growth and sustainability.

These trips offer a deeper look into what God is doing in Zambia—giving you the opportunity to meet our incredible Zambian team, visit ministry sites, and see firsthand the impact being made in local communities.

In addition to time in ministry, you’ll also experience the beauty of Zambia through opportunities like a safari and/or visiting Victoria Falls.

From start to finish, we walk with you every step of the way. We provide pre-trip preparation, on-the-ground guidance, and post-trip debrief to ensure you are equipped to fully experience all God has for you—and how you can continue to be part of the mission moving forward.
