As churches continue to grow and new church plants are established, many congregations are gathering in temporary spaces that offer little protection from the elements and limit their ability to serve their communities.

We believe every growing church should have a safe, permanent place where people can gather to worship, learn, pray, and grow together.

Through partnerships with local churches, Charis in Action is working to help provide permanent church structures that can serve communities for generations to come. These buildings will be more than places of worship—they will become centers where disciples are made, families are strengthened, leaders are equipped, and communities are served.

Building a Future Through Education

An exciting project is underway as we build a primary school in an under-resourced community, with doors set to open in January 2027.

For children in this community, access to quality education has been limited. This school will create an opportunity for children to learn, grow, and develop the skills they need to build a brighter future for themselves, their families, and their community.

But this project is about more than classrooms and buildings. It’s about creating opportunity where there has been very little. By investing in education today, we can help equip the next generation to become leaders who bring lasting change to their communities.

A Home Base for Mission

The Mission House in Chisumpa Village will become a hub for ministry and a place where people from around the world can come together to serve a community in meaningful and lasting ways.

From medical and evangelism teams to teacher training, farming initiatives, and other community development projects, the Mission House will provide a place for teams to stay, prepare, serve, and build relationships with the people of Chisumpa.

But this project is about more than providing a place to sleep. It will create a foundation for ongoing ministry and make it possible for more people to come, serve, and invest their time and gifts in this community.

Creating a Home for Ministry

As Charis in Action continues to grow, we are pursuing a permanent ministry home in Lusaka that will serve as a central hub for our expanding work across Zambia.

This facility will bring several key areas of ministry together under one roof, providing space for our staff, a theological library, Worship School, and Bible School. It will create an environment where pastors and ministry leaders can learn, worship, study God's Word, and be equipped to serve their churches and communities more effectively.

But the vision goes beyond a building in Lusaka. We are investing in a place designed to multiply leaders—and through those leaders, multiply the impact of the Gospel across Zambia.
