Putting Faith in Action

Our Approach

Our mission is to identify, train, and develop pastors, Christian leaders, and emerging leaders to lead and plant healthy, disciple-making churches.

Through our network of churches, leaders are equipped to look closely at their communities and recognize where the Kingdom of God is not yet being fully experienced. They identify spiritual, emotional, and physical needs, and then partner with local people and resources to create sustainable, Christ-centered solutions.

Everything we do flows from this mission—equipping and empowering leaders to bring lasting transformation. Because when leaders are strengthened, lives are changed, and communities are impacted for generations.

Equip

We believe lasting transformation begins with the Gospel. That’s why everything we do starts with equipping the Church.

We invest in theological training and church planting to raise up strong, biblically grounded leaders who can disciple others and multiply healthy churches.

We equip through:

  • Biblical and Theological Training (Bible School)

  • Church Planting and Leadership Development

  • Training Events and Conferences

As pastors and leaders are equipped, they are empowered to reach their communities with truth, love, and purpose.

Empower

As leaders are equipped, they are empowered to meet the tangible needs of their communities—bringing holistic transformation through the love of Christ.

We focus on three key areas of empowerment:

Medical Care
Providing access to essential healthcare in underserved communities through clinics and health initiatives that address critical needs such as malaria, HIV/AIDS, women’s health, and children’s care.

Education
Creating opportunities for children through the development of schools in areas where access to education is limited or nonexistent.

Sustainable Farming
Partnering with Foundations for Farming to equip communities with sustainable agricultural practices that produce healthier, more abundant crops. Local leaders are trained to multiply this impact in surrounding areas.

Our Story

Todd and Kristi Stewart have been serving in ministry for over 30 years.

In 2014, Charis in Action, Inc. was launched in Knoxville, Tennessee, with a desire to come alongside and support ministries in under-resourced communities—both locally and around the world.

In 2019, Todd and Kristi moved to Zambia as full-time missionaries, and the ministry became more focused in Africa. While living there, the Lord opened doors to train and equip local pastors and leaders. Todd began leading theological and leadership training with a focus on making disciples and planting healthy churches.

As relationships grew, like-minded pastors and leaders began gathering to pray, learn, and wrestle through cultural and theological challenges together. Out of this, the Antioch Kingdom Network (AKN) was born.

Today, AKN is a growing network of pastors and churches committed to equipping leaders and multiplying healthy churches—bringing the hope of the Gospel and “heaven to earth” in their communities.
